The Morgans: Genealogy
The read-headed Asa Stokeley Morgan was born in Valdosta, Georgia. He married Eliza Wright and moved to Camden, AR with a retinue of 200 slaves and attendants. He owned 2 plantations there. During the Civil War he commanded the 443rd AR Regiment at Ft. Smith. He ended the ward as a staff officer in Richmond, VA.
Aylmer Lee Morgan (Sr.) was born in Camden, Arkansas. About 1887 he married his first wife, Effie Euphemia Newton, who originated in Mississippi sometime during the 1870's. She died in childbirth around 1905 in Camden. Their children 4 children were:
Aylmer Lee Morgan, Jr. was born in 1890 in Camden, AR. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1911. He married Frances Elizabeth Scott and served our country during World War II. Frances was born in Abingdon, Virginia June 3, 1893. He died in 1957 in Washington, D.C. and is buried in the Arlington National Cemetery. Frances was an excellent pianist. They had 2 children listed below. She took two trips around the world and spent her retirement in Port Charlotte, Florida. She died in Perryville, AR in 1981.
Lida married David L. White. She said that the Morgans' were kin to Oliver Cromwell. They fled to the U.S. at the time when that kinship meant death. She said the family first settled on an island in the Chesepeake Bay in the 1600s. Lida and David L. White's children are:

Alice never married and died in Danville, AR.
On April 23, 1978, Lee married Linda Ann Reed Cuellar, a nurse in New Orleans, LA. Their son is Ollie Sean Morgan and Linda claims the other four children as well. They "retired" to a farm near Danville, Arkansas. Scott Ingles Morgan was born Sept. 10, 1951 in New
Orleans, Louisiana. Scott is an internist and the emergency room doctor in
Charlestown, West Virginia. He married Brenda Earline Beck in 1981.
On June 2, 1982, Jennifer Sharlene Morgan was born of their
marriage. Jenny ("the 'Nif") is a college student in Hammond,
Louisiana.
On Dec. 3, 1988 Lyndsey Fern Morgan was born to Scott
and Sondra in Newton, KS. They now live near Charlestown, WV. Derek served in the U.S. Air Force in Japan as an Air Force Cryptologist. He is married to Nikki _____ and living in Georgia. Brenna has her masters degree in agricultural statistics and is working in Washington State. She is returning to school for her teaching certificate. Betty Lee Morgan was born Nov. 11, 1957 in New Orleans, LA. Betty Lee is a word processor and lives near Houston, TX. Aylmer Lee Morgan IV ("Ayl") was born May 18, 1959 in New Orleans, LA. Ayl is an insurance adjustor. He married Jennifer Ann Adair. They had 3 children:
Frances Berry Morgan ("Frannie") was born Aug. 11, 1962 in New Orleans, LA. Frannie is an attorney in Charlestown, VA. She is married to Aram Hessami, a philosophy teacher who owns the Avanti Restaurant in partnership with Scott. Frannie & Aram's children are:
Sarah was born June 6, 1987. Cyrus was born Sept 25, 1988 and Rebecca arrived July 26, 1997. Ollie Sean Morgan attended Hendrix College in Conway, AR. He currently manages the farm in Arkansas, the RCR, manages a bow-hunting shop and does agricultural blasting.
